TOUR OF NOVOTEL HOTEL by Regents of Regency College of Hotel Management ascertained the qualities of positive Attitude, Etiquette, confidence, handling work pressure, and time management under the mentorship of faculty. The hospitality industry is a broad category of fields within the service industry that includes lodging, food and drink service, event planning, travel, and tourism. To acknowledge the services Regency College has allowed visiting Novotel HICC as a part of our curriculum.
The Tour :
Mr. MANIKANTA (L&D MANAGER) accompanied 75 regents and briefed them about the experience of a twin room with amenities, closets, and safety lockers which are provided to Novotel guests. Novotel has a universal pool, children’s pool, and adult pool which is 4 feet deep, and also they have games like chess, carom, ludo, gym, and spa.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE TOUR:
The hotel uses food waste like manure and also grows its lettuce, curry leaves, tomatoes, drumsticks, and mangoes along with seasonal vegetables and fruits. In case of a fire emergency, there are 7200 smoke detectors and 16 fire exits where all the guests and staff can evacuate in 12 minutes. Novotel also has an AED machine which is connected with Cyberabad police. In any case of emergency, the cops can reach the hotel in 6 minutes. Millet bank is the centerpiece of the hotel. The main motto of this is to bring awareness to organic farming. another important thing is Millet Bank, it is committed to micronutrient restoration, soil health, and water carbon sequestration. Millet Bank works on multiple agro ecological interventions to help farmers do their part by planting more sustainable crops like millets, cereals, and other crops as well as creating market linkages.
Takeback from Novotel:
We had a great experience with Mr. Manikanta. We also had a good interaction regarding the hotel. Mr. Manikanta elucidated our students about the life lesson by narrating an anecdote of stone and sculpture, where the stone is carved into shape before which it is just a stone but after giving it a proper shape we worship the same stone. It means we all need to be crushed and pressured to handle the situations and to work in this industry. The Novotel not only gives good service but also ensures the guest’s safety and requirements. They are always a step ahead to handle any emergencies.
