REGENTS CITY TOUR

After quite about with the novel corona virus, and its close relatives for two whole years, the city of Hyderabad has regained its lively atmosphere. Keeping that in view 28 years of Regency College of Culinary Arts and Hotel Management affiliated to Osmania University,  makes the students not only trains in academics but also creates fun  go hand in hand. Every year the students are taken to a city tour to explore the different historical places in Hyderabad.

On 9th April, 2022 the students of 1st & 2nd year of BHMCT, CCCB and BCTCA were taken to a city tour in Hyderabad where they were taken to some of the tourist attractions in Hyderabad.

The journey for the trip started at 7:30 where all the students gathered at the college with respective faculty. Three buses were arranged for the students with a tour guide.

The first location where they were taken was the Golconda Fort. It is a fortified citadel built by the Qutb Shahi dynasty. All the students were blown away by the amazing history about the fort which was told to them by the guides. The students had a look at the fort by climbing all the way to the top.

The next stop was Chowmahalla palace. It was the seat of the Asaf Jahi dynasty and was the official residence of the Nizams of Hyderabad while they ruled their state. The palace was built by Nizam Salabat Jung. The gleaning chandeliers in the interior of the palace astonished the students with its beauty. The students were more attracted to the vintage cars and had repeated questions about the cars with the guide.

The next was Charminar. The landmark has become known globally as a symbol of Hyderabad and is listed among the most recognised structures in India. The four pillared monument had something special attached with it which made it one of the most famous and popular tourist attractions in Hyderabad. The students and the faculty enjoyed the divulging flavours around it.

The students and faculty were then taken to the Salarjung museum where they were provided with a delicious lunch provided by the college. The lunch was prepared at the college and then brought to the museum. After lunch the students were taken inside the museum.

The Salar Jung Museum is an art museum. It is one of the notable National Museums of India. The museum had a lot of historical items which connected with the students as they spent so much time looking at some of the most famous items displayed. The paintings, furniture and the musical clock were a must. 

The last stop was NTR Gardens where all the fun had just started. The gleaning lights and the smell of fresh grass made the students want to rejoice at the moment. The students and the faculty had a good time. 

The Tour not only was an enjoyable trip but also an informative and knowledgeable trip to the students. The students thanked the faculty for the wonderful trip and hope to go on more trips like those in the coming years.

Regency always makes sure that all the students have a splendid experience wherever they go. Regency tends to have more such informative and fun thrilled tours.
