UTTAR DAKSHIN RASOI- FOOD FESTIVAL AT REGENCY COLLEGE

The culinary talents of second-semester BCT&CA students took center stage at Regency College’s “Uttar Dakshin Rasoi” food festival on March 24th and 25th, 2023. This event served as a showcase of North and South Indian breakfast delicacies, skillfully prepared and presented by the budding regents as part of Hotel Management courses.

The aesthetic setup transported visitors to a rustic ambiance, featuring fresh banana leaves, garlands of mango leaves, marigold flowers, elegant hanging mini bamboo baskets, and ambient lights. The regents, dressed in ethnic attire, captivated the attention of both faculty and attendees, adding to the festival’s vibrant atmosphere.

Under the guidance of the chefs’ team, the student teams demonstrated not only their culinary prowess but also developed essential managerial skills, teamwork, interpersonal skills, and effective time management. The result was an impressive array of around 30 different recipes, each representing the rich culinary traditions of both South and North India.

The food festival kicked off with a delightful array of welcome drinks and refreshments, including enticing “Mocktails and Panakam.” A notable highlight of the breakfast buffet was the live counters, where attendees could experience the culinary magic in action.
