ABOUT Chefs Day
International Chefs Day, celebrated every year on 20th October, is a global tribute to the culinary profession and the creative minds behind every exceptional dish. Founded by Chef Dr. Bill Gallagher, this day recognizes the hard work, passion, and dedication of chefs across the world.
It aims to:
🍽️ Honor chefs for their culinary artistry and commitment
👨‍🍳 Inspire young chefs to pursue careers in the food industry
🌱 Promote healthy eating habits among children and communities
🌍 Celebrate global food culture and connect chefs worldwide
Each year carries a unique theme, encouraging chefs to share knowledge, creativity, and the importance of nutritious food. The day is marked with workshops, food events, demonstrations, and community outreach programs, making it a celebration of both skill and responsibility.
International Chefs Day reminds us that cooking is not just a profession—it’s an art, passion, and a way to bring people together.

🌍 International Chefs Day 2025 – Regency College Highlights
🍽️ 16th October – Creative Plating Challenge @ Johnson Grammar School
Regency College & Telangana Chefs Association conducted a Creative Plating Competition exclusively for 10th-grade Home Science students.
The event was judged by renowned chefs Chef Rizwan, Chef Naveen, Chef Pavan, and Chef Cyril, motivating young culinary aspirants.
Students showcased impressive creativity, making the event a memorable tribute to culinary arts.
❤️ 17th October – Blood Donation Drive @ Regency Campus
In collaboration with NTR Trust, Regency College organized a Blood Donation Campaign.
Students and faculty actively participated, spreading awareness on the importance of saving lives through blood donation.
The event reflected the college’s commitment to social responsibility and community welfare.
🤝 22nd October – Charity Lunch for Differently-Abled Individuals
Telangana Chefs Association hosted a heartfelt charity lunch, supported by Regency students.
Students prepared and served a wholesome meal with love, showcasing true hospitality.
The day was filled with smiles, connection, and compassion, celebrating the real essence of International Chefs Day.
🎓 24th October – Culinary Engagement @ Hyderabad Central University
Regency College & Telangana Chefs Association conducted a vibrant culinary event for HCU students.
Sessions included:
Fruit & Vegetable Carving by Chef Ramesh
Spices Masterclass by Chef Viswa & Chef Vinay
Baking Demo (muffins & cookies) by Chef Ajith
Students participated in an exciting cooking competition, presenting innovative dishes.
The event combined learning, creativity, and hands-on experience.
Conducting International Chefs Day 2025 on such a grand scale was a truly unforgettable experience for us as Regency students. From planning and coordination to execution, every moment reflected the passion, discipline, and teamwork that Regency instills in us. Interacting with school students, showcasing culinary creativity, and learning directly under the guidance of esteemed chefs made the day both inspiring and enriching. It wasn’t just an event—it was a celebration of the culinary profession and a reminder of the responsibility we carry as future hospitality leaders. Regency gave us the platform to think big, act professionally, and represent the culinary world with pride.
