26 years old Regency College of Hotel Management & Catering Technology is one of the best hotel management colleges in hyderabad,  Welcomed festive seasons with a lot of enthusiasm and zeal in college campus located at on the rocks of Hill Top Colony, Near Taj Krishna Hotel ,Khairtabad. We love the liveliness that is brought by such occasions. We at Regency arranged a Food Festival on 12th Jan on the occasion of Sankrati. The President of Telangana Chef Assocation(TCA) Chef Dharmender Lamba,Chef Naveen Nagaraj, Chef Ramesh Chandra and Chef Yadagiri from Hands in Hospitality(HIHA),Mr. Sathyam Director Talent and Culture from Novotel Hyderabad Airport, Mr Zubair renowned food blogger of Hyderabad Food Diaries, Chef Asif Indian American Restauranteur &Entrepreneur of 21 Spices in Naples Florida, Mr Praveen Tourism Officer Ministry of Tourism, Government of India were the ones present at Regency Vari Sankranti Sandadi at its campus.
Culture and Traditions in India: India has a rich culture and that has become our identity. Be it in religion, art, intellectual achievements, or performing arts, it has made us a colorful, rich, and diverse nation Today, India stands as a powerful and multi-cultured society as it has absorbed many cultures and moved on. To make the students aware of the authenticity of Culture, Tradition and Food Regents celebrated REGENCY VARI SANKRANTI camouflaging the Initiative announced by Honble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi- Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme aims to enhance interaction & promote mutual understanding between people of different states/UTs through the concept of state/UT pairing. The states carry out activities to promote a sustained and structured cultural connect in the areas of language learning, culture, traditions & music, tourism & cuisine, sports and sharing of best practices, etc. Students of Regency presented folk dance of Telangana and Haryana

THEME: A Beautiful display of a village “Tirunallu or a Festive Mela” was depicted by the students a wide vibrant village roads, rural traditions melas or village fairs were (and in some cases still are) of great importance. It is a theme-based on Sankranti promoting culture, art or skill. Generally at “melas” people can find eateries, entertainment activities, shops and games. Street vendors selling the local specialty delicacies famous gunta ponganalu, chitti puris, Muntha Masala, Rajamundry Rose Milk, Goli Soda, Regency Vari Sankranti Special Pongal Sweet and Hot which are made from locally available ingredients, fruits and vegetables. A Hustle Bustle street of typical Village or town was beautifully showcased by students of 3rd year BHMCT.
