HOUSE KEEPING AIN’T A JOKE!Behind every happy and satisfied guest there lie the hands of a housekeeper. And so to celebrate the greatness of a housekeepers and housekeeping IHEA (International Housekeeping Executive Association) in 1981 came up recognizing the efforts of them from the second week of September ie 11th to 17th every year.

28 years old Regency College of Culinary Arts &Hotel Management with a lot of enthusiasm and zeal in college campus located at on the rocks ofHill Top Colony along with the 2nd year BHMCT budding hotelierscelebrated THE INTERNATIONAL HOUSEKEEPERS WEEK at college campus.

It’s a limelight to urge in a hotel each department is significant and so is housekeeping. But years passed and now it’s crystal clear that without housekeeping hotel productivity is at stake. Regency with a responsibility to encourage the students into housekeeping gave them an opportunity to slide into various competitions related to the department. A week dedicated to ancillary department, students learned a lot and also participated in many fun competitions like – rapid bed making, rapid towel art, best bed presentation, fastest mopping, blind fold bed making and quiz. Students from BHMCT 3rd semester actively participated in these competitions and won many prizes. The list is as follows –

The final day of celebrations everyone joined their hands to applaud for the housekeepers across the world. Mr Manohar – Executive HousekeeperPark Hyatt, Hyderabad gave it a professional touch by sharing his experience in the industry. Budding hoteliers stood up to congratulate the winners of the conducted competitions while Mr Manohar presented them the prizes. The students were appreciated by Mr Manohar for not giving up on housekeeping and added that he is looking forward to see them in great positions. The students thanked management for giving them an opportunity to celebrate the housekeeping week and with another successful event Regency added one more amazing memory to the year book. Students ask for nothing but more learning opportunities and Regency always makes sure to give them what they need with such innovative ideas.

On this note principal P. Ramesh Kumar Reddy stressed that the College has emerged out to be best since two decades which has made manyyoung boys and girls to emerge out as aspiring Hotel and Retail professionals. The college provides 100% placement opportunities both India and Abroad to aspiringundergraduates who want to pursue Hotel Management Course.The events success was seen in the happy eyes of Mr Daniel Diwakar and Ms Priya – The housekeeping faculty of Regency.

Eventually all were captured with a sweet group photo ended the week’s celebration.
