27 year old Regency college of Culinary Arts and Hotel Management is one of the topColleges of Culinary Arts in the state and in the country, celebrated International ChefsDay on 20th October. All Over the Globe, October 20th is celebrated as International Chef Day every year to celebrate one of the most creative professions in the world and to reiterate the significance of chefs and the culinary art in the field of Hospitality. This year the TELANGANA CHEFS ASSOCATION, Srinivasa Farms and Executive Chefs from various hotels and colleges of Hyderabad collaborated with Regency College. On this occasion, Regency is celebrating International Chef Day with the theme of the 2022”Growing a Healthy future”. Day 1: Food Benefaction at MGM GGH Govt School at Nampally by Regents!!!! On 19thOctober – A Healthy Lunch Organized at MGM Govt School, Nampally.450 Regents, Team Regency, Chefs Team from TCA, joined hands to make grandeurof the event. TCA/ Srinivasa farm supported the event by providing raw materials forlunch. Chefs and student chefs of Regency joined hands to make delicious lunch for300 students. The Regents are using this opportunity to teach children about healthy eating by letting them be creative with food. With the Chef’s input, education and help, children will be able to create recipes out of healthy foods and support growing a healthy future. The program was begun by welcoming guests. Student chefs anchored and entertainedthe event letting Govt School students know about chefs’ profession and about healthyfood.Executive chefs : Chef AamerJamel, (Master Chef of ITC), Chef B. Varun(Executive Chef Novotel Airport), Chef Ganesh (Executive Chef Mercure) and Chef of reputed colleges in Hyderabad: Chef U. Sudheer, chef Arpan Roy, Chef Vinay Kumar Yandra, Chef S. Bharat Kumar, Chef ElangivelliAatul Antony and team regency chefs were felicitated for their remarkable work and dedication for their profession by Telangana Chefs Association President Chef DharmendraLamba, Wise President Chef Amey, Secretary Chef Naveen Nagraj and Principal of Regency college Mr. P. Ramesh Kumar Reddy. Highlight of the event: Mrs. R.V. Anuradha (lecturer at Department of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Kamala Nehru Polytechnic for women) was awardedLIFE TIME ACHIVEMENT AWARD for her huge contribution to the profession and service to hundreds of aspiring course participants. CULTURALS: Students of Regency and Govt school students involved in the cultural. Govt School students enjoyed thoroughly in the fun filled activities andgames conducted by regents. They were encouraged and given gifts for theparticipation. APPETIZING RECIPES: 25 recipes were cooked on site at the school premises with an organicingredients, flavored rice, chicken curry, fruits and sprouts salad which are high innutritious and relishing value was served. Speeches were given by TCA President Chef DharmendraLamba, Chef P.RameshKumar Reddy (Principal of RCHMCT), principal of Govt School on Healthy food andhygiene and sanitation in the preparation of food. Regency team and contributed stationary (pens, books, compass box etc) as a token of loveand compassion. The guests and principal of Govt School appreciated all the students. The principal of Regency P. Ramesh Kumar Reddy expressed his happiness for the success of the event. Day 2: BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN Regency is glad to organized blood donation camp in collaboration with Telangana Chef Association and with Srinivasa farm and with support of NTR trust in the college campus. Amidst of the Covid pandemic there is an acute shortage of blood supply especially for children suffering with Thalaseemia and Haemohilia patients, with an inclination to support the needy as every 2 seconds. Someone needs blood and we can make a huge difference to someone in need. Regents more than 200 participated in blood donation. NTR Trust provided water bottle, snacks rich in iron and vitamin C to the volunteers. Eventually, Principal of RCHMCT stressed that hospitality sector has opened up a myriad of opportunities for people, without any discrimination of gender. Hospitality which celebrates culture, traditions, cuisines, languages, and humanity believes in respecting and accepting each other and provides huge job opportunities. He conveyed his appreciations to TCA Members and all the others Executive Chefs of renowned hotels and colleges who have joined hands with Regency to celebrate this International Chefs day’2022.
