It’s the will to prepare to win the matter.” -Paul Bryant Regency College of Culinary Arts, oneof the top colleges in India continued its winning streak held under MORDE (Bakery Business, South Edition, 2022), India bakery & Pastry Challenge , 2nd Edition and Nestle (Sweets & Savoury Partner) organized by Hospitality Firstin association and support ofTelangana Chefs Association with a motto to recognize and achieve the bakery & Pastry skills of studentand professional category from various Culinary Arts colleges ofTelangana at Bakery Biz Challenge, Hitex Exhibition Hall, Hi – tech Hyderabad. Many startup companies and brands showed up in the expo presenting their products, machinery equipment used in bakery and pastry purposes all the way from different states and cities of India. The budding chefs, professional chefs & home bakers in and around Hyderabad participated in the competition. Students and Chefs of Regency College competed in, Artistic Chocolate show pieces, Artistic Bakery show pieces, Cold Plated Dessert. Out of 11 professional category Contestants and 29 Student category contestants from Telangana, REGENCY won 8 medals in the Student and Professional category. The Management of Regency College extends its gratitude to the Vice Chancellor and Board of Studies of Osmania University for continuously support the college and helping the students to be recognized Hotel Mgt graduates across the world. CULINARY CHAMPIONS: A team of 5 students FIRST YEAR Hotel Mgt& Culinary Arts, accompanied by 3 faculty members to exhibit their exceptional bakery & Pastry skills on 23rd, 24th and 25th June, 2022. AT THE COMPETITION: Chefs from Regency exhibited their outmost culinary skills by giving a tough competition stating “We are not less than anyone” with their exuberance performance. They have presented exquisite products like “CITADEL OF LOVE: A 3 tier cake, GROMMASH HELLSCREAM CHARACTER from WARCRAFT,BLUE BERRY MUFFINS, BOTA TIE BREAD ROLL, PEPPER FLAVOURED ROLL”. The products displayed by students of Regency stole the entire show, the regents did exceptional plate presentations, uniqueness, creativity, portion size, product taste and Sanitation practices. Spectacular and unrealistic chocolate sculptures; delicious, delicate and intricate dessert plating’s, anything and everything made of bread—one could find it all. The competition’s venue was a cesspool of talent and really makes one wonder about how creative and downright unbelievably remarkable a human’s mind is. Oh, its brilliance. Regency College in the country and also in State Telangana all the products displayed by the students and chefs of Regency were applauded by the Jury at the competition and appreciated regency to be one of the best colleges of Culinary Arts in India and also in state Telangana. DOWNPOUR OF MEDALS: The competition was separated into two categories and was graded as such respectively. One was the student category and the other was the professional category. (BHMCT) IN THE PROFESSIONAL CATEGORY, THE FOLLOWING CHEFS WON: Artistry Chocolate Showpiece: Gold Medal – Chef Karunakar Artistic Bakery Showpiece: Silver Medal – Chef Ramesh Cold Plated Dessert:Silver Medal- Chef Viswa GOURMET APPRAISAL: Products were judged on the basis of creativity, hygiene, taste, texture and appearance by esteemed panel ofChefs of high standards and achievements graced the venue with their appearance. Chef DharmendarLamba, Executive Chef at Trident as well as members of the association were there; Chef Deepak Chawala, Executive chef at Taj Krishna, Chef Keshi, Chef Naveen and Chef Riswaninteracted with the budding chefs and professional chefs to find out the ingredients of the recipes, nutritional value and historical significance of the dishes prepared by them. AFTER THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE RESULTS: The regents, participants and associates alike, and the Chefs were so overjoyed by all that they had achieved. Everyone basked in the light of each other’s smiles and laughter. They definitely did bring a delightful aura to the arena. Their entire struggle reaped sweet fruit, it was beautiful. This was only the beginning to their many achievements in life and well as their careers. Regency is one the best college which is always in forefront winning many NATIONAL LEVEL COMPTETIONS IN PAST 28 YEARS. The alumni passing out from this college are holding topnotch positions as General Managers, Executive Chefs, and HOD’s with best International Brands of Hotels.
